Rebuild Weight Loss Center has opened a physician-supervised medical weight management practice at 3320 N Federal Hwy, Suite 103. The center is owned and medically directed by Dr. Cedric Emden Davis II, MD, a Florida-licensed physician (license ME108693).
The center's program begins with a medical evaluation and laboratory testing. Body weight is influenced by many factors, including genetics, diet, activity, sleep, medications, and medical conditions, and testing can help identify some of the medical factors that may be contributing.
"Lab work does not explain everything about a patient's weight, but it can rule things in or out," said Dr. Davis. "We use it, along with the patient's history, to decide what is appropriate and what is not."
Depending on the evaluation, a physician may consider options that include hormone therapy, peptide therapy, amino acid and nutrient injections, a supervised cleanse, and prescription weight loss injections. The evidence supporting these options for weight management varies, and the center does not present any of them as a guaranteed solution.
Any prescription medication is used only when a physician determines it is clinically appropriate, and patients can ask whether a given medication is FDA-approved for weight management. Eligibility for any treatment depends on an individual medical evaluation, and some patients will not be candidates. As with any medical care, the services carry potential risks and side effects.
Patients are monitored throughout the program, with follow-up testing used to review progress and adjust the plan. The center does not publish a standard protocol, set weight loss targets in advance, or promise a specific result, and pricing is discussed at consultation.
The center was established as a stand-alone practice so that weight management could be handled with dedicated time, testing, and follow-up. It shares a building with other Rebuild practices but runs its own clinical program, phone line, and appointment schedule.
