Expanded retail availability marks another step in CEO of Vetr Andrew Hamilton’s effort to build a nationally recognized veterinary biotechnology and animal-health platform and brand.
Vetr announced that Albendamax, its 11.36% albendazole oral suspension for livestock, is now available for purchase through Southern Livestock, with over 700 stores within the United States, expanding access to the product for ranchers, farmers and animal-health professionals.
The new retail relationship advances Vetr’s strategy of making essential veterinary products more readily available through trusted agricultural suppliers. It also represents another milestone for founder and CEO Andrew Hamilton, whose broader ambition is to build Vetr into a major biotechnology and animal-health enterprise, and ultimately save the lives of countless animals.
“Livestock producers need dependable products and dependable places to purchase them,” Hamilton said. “Making Albendamax available through Southern Livestock, brings the product closer to the people who rely on it while supporting our larger goal of building a more accessible animal-health supply network.”
Albendamax contains 11.36% albendazole, a broad-spectrum deworming ingredient used in parasite-management programs for cattle, sheep and goats. Its label includes species-specific administration instructions, withdrawal periods, pregnancy precautions and guidance regarding parasite resistance.
The Southern Livestock relationship builds on Vetr’s recent expansion of Albendamax distribution. Earlier announcements highlighted the product’s availability as livestock producers faced disruptions affecting other albendazole-based treatments. Vetr says its current focus is establishing durable retail and wholesale channels capable of serving producers beyond temporary periods of limited supply.
For Hamilton, the expansion is part of a larger strategy extending beyond a single product. Vetr is developing an animal-health platform and brand combining veterinary access, pharmaceutical products, digital services and distribution infrastructure.
Hamilton believes the veterinary market offers significant room for companies that can pair biotechnology and pharmaceutical development with modern, direct-to-customer distribution.
“The opportunity is much larger than any one medication,” Hamilton said. “We are building infrastructure intended to make veterinary care and animal-health products more affordable, accessible and reliable. Albendamax demonstrates what can happen when product development and distribution are designed around the needs of the customer.”
Vetr’s growth strategy includes relationships with independent farm stores, livestock suppliers, veterinary distributors and national retail organizations. The company also continues to evaluate additional animal-health products that could benefit from improved availability and more efficient distribution.
The addition of Southern Livestock gives Albendamax greater visibility among livestock owners who frequently purchase health products through established agricultural retailers. Customers should contact Southern Livestock directly for current pricing, package sizes, inventory and ordering information.
Albendamax is an 11.36% albendazole oral suspension labeled for use in cattle, sheep and goats. Available package sizes include 240 mL, 500 mL, 960 mL, 1,893 mL and 3,785 mL. Users must follow all product-label directions, precautions and withdrawal periods.
Albendamax is not for human use. Accurate animal weights are essential for proper administration. The product should not be administered to certain pregnant or lactating animals as specified on its label. Livestock owners should consult a veterinarian for assistance with the diagnosis, treatment and control of parasitism.
