Organizations planning group meals in Powder Springs and West Cobb now have a new local catering resource from AMARA Subway.

The company’s new group catering resource covers box lunches, party platters, large group orders, advance notice, pickup, qualifying delivery and information organizers should have ready before placing an order through its Macland Road Subway restaurant.

The guide is intended for offices, schools, churches, community organizations, construction crews, youth sports organizations and other groups planning meals in Powder Springs and surrounding West Cobb communities. It also provides information that can help organizers decide between individually packaged meals and shared platters based on the size of the group, serving needs and timing.

“Group orders are easier to manage when organizers know the headcount, timing, food needs and pickup or delivery plan before placing the order,” said Alex Laldin, marketing director at AMARA Subway. “That becomes even more important as the number of people being served increases.”

Planning those details in advance can help organizers determine how many meals are needed and which catering format is appropriate. The guide recommends having an expected headcount, preferred date and time, pickup or delivery preference and dietary needs available when arranging an order. Providing those details early can help establish the size and format of the catering request before food preparation begins.

Individually packaged box lunches include a sub, chips and a cookie. A minimum order of 10 boxes applies. The format can work for office meetings, school staff lunches, job-site meals and events where individual portions make distribution easier.

Individual packaging can be particularly useful for events where meals need to be handed directly to attendees or distributed to people in different areas. Offices may use box lunches during meetings where employees need to return to work quickly, while schools and job sites may prefer individually packaged meals when a shared serving area is not practical.

Party platters provide a shared serving option. Each platter contains five footlong sandwiches cut into thirds, providing 15 portions. AMARA Subway states that one platter generally serves approximately five to nine people depending on the event and other food being served. The guide also notes that there is no minimum platter order.

This format may be useful for gatherings where attendees can serve themselves from a central table or food area. Organizers can consider the number of attendees, the amount of other food available and how the meal will be served when determining the number of platters needed.

The company asks customers to provide at least 24 hours’ notice for catering requests. For orders exceeding 50 box lunches, 48 hours’ notice is recommended when possible. Additional preparation time can become especially important as order size increases and restaurants need to coordinate food preparation and packaging.

Pickup is available at the AMARA Subway restaurant at 4150 Macland Road, Suite 215, in Powder Springs. Delivery is available for qualifying catering orders. The Macland Road restaurant serves as the company’s primary location for catering requests in Powder Springs and the surrounding West Cobb area.

For larger events, AMARA Subway can coordinate production through its other Cobb County Subway restaurants when an order requires more kitchen capacity. The company operates six locations across West and North Cobb County, allowing multiple restaurants to assist with preparation when necessary.

When a catering request is too large for one restaurant to prepare within the available timeframe, other locations can assist with production while the Macland Road restaurant coordinates the order. This approach can support events ranging from routine workplace meals to larger gatherings serving 75 to 200 or more people.

The guide identifies a range of occasions where local organizations may need group catering, including staff meetings, teacher appreciation events, school celebrations, church programs, community gatherings, job-site lunches, neighborhood events and youth sports activities. Different events may require different meal formats depending on attendance, available serving space and how organizers plan to distribute food.

Family-owned AMARA Subway has operated restaurants in West Cobb since 2018. Its catering services support office lunches, school and church functions, community gatherings, job-site meals, parties and other group events throughout the communities served by its restaurants. The company operates six Subway locations across West and North Cobb County, including its Macland Road restaurant in Powder Springs.
